An overbite refers to a large horizontal overlap of the upper front teeth over the lower front teeth.
An impacted tooth/teeth refers to permanent tooth/teeth that have failed to come through at the right age.
Crooked or crowded teeth are when the teeth erupt into the mouth and appear overlapping, angled, twisted or rotated.
Often gaps are seen in either the upper or lower teeth, where the adult tooth/teeth are missing and would never form.
