Crowded teeth treatment in adults- Part 2

With advances in technology, AI and 3D printing, you are now able to be in the comfort of your home, office, interstate or on holidays overseas and for us to check in to see the progress of your crowded teeth treatment.

How does this monitoring remotely help my orthodontic treatment?

Traditionally, orthodontic adjustment appointments are scheduled every 6-8 weeks. This means having to take time off sports, leisure, work or study commitments to visit our practice.

Though a dental monitoring app, and using your smartphone to take a 1 min video done approximately once a week, we are able to track the progress of your teeth from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. When your teeth are progressing well, you can then move on to the next stage. It is also like an accountability tool to ensure you are wearing your aligners or elastics. All with fewer visits needed to the practice, yet having the peace of mind that the doctor and Smiles & Faces team is supervising your orthodontic  treatment closely.

In short, it allows you to finish your treatment sooner. For more difficult orthodontic treatments, it allows us to identify earlier when treatment is not progressing as well to contact you sooner to arrange solutions to address this at the point of first detection..

Are there other ways to help my teeth to move quicker?

A vibrating mouthpiece will help to make your teeth more comfortable during new aligner changes and can help the aligners to fit better. For certain teeth movement types, this can mean you can move to the next stages quicker, potentially resulting in quicker treatment times.
