At Smiles and Faces Orthodontics we respect the goals of our patients and aim to ensure we finish your treatment on time and help maintain your straight teeth. Our consultation process first starts with a conversation about you, and yourself. We are not aligned to any product or process so this is focused on you and your needs.
We are about informed choices, and understand the thought of having teeth removed can scare people. Dr Chang has special expertise towards fewer teeth removal techniques. We are transforming smiles, one
person, one smile at a time. This often means:
Being an experienced practitioner and avid educator, Dr. Chang is a regular speaker in the dental community, improving awareness of what to look out for in kids and teens, importance and relevance of orthodontic treatment timing on outcomes and teaching dentists about clear aligners and other areas of orthodontics. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Society of Orthodontists, European Aligner Society, American Association of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. Dr. Chang is a fluent speaker in both English and Mandarin. He enjoys networking with orthodontists around Australia and the world at
conferences and meetings, to bring the most effective techniques of teeth straightening with the above priorities of his practice in mind He also priorities the professional development of his team at Smiles and Faces Orthodontics and encourages education opportunities, networking events and ongoing training.
Outside of work and professional development, he is a family person, either at family events or at his children’s soccer, basketball and netball games.
As a parent of three children, he also understands the importance of teeth and gum health on one’s confidence, eating and speaking. Good teeth brushing and diet habits start young. To improve awareness among the general community, he created the Smiles & Faces Orthodontics podcast, giving great smiles with so much information available to learn.
Since the beginning he has been involved in several community projects including improving dental awareness in our local schools, Santa Visits at Mt Druitt Hospital, “Orthodontics From the Heart” and supporting disadvantaged youth in obtaining their new smiles.
